WonderfulWednesday: The many things I love about my child

girl clapping

This week's wonderful Wednesday is a piece written by Jodie Eaton called 'The Many Things I Love About My Child."

Jodie's daughter has autism.  But her daughter is not defined by her autism. Jodie's article is a beautiful list of things she loves about her daughter. The way her daughter runs home from the school bus to see her brother and sister as soon as possible, Or the way she giggles at herself when she gets her words mixed up.  It's completely adorable.

And it made me think of my own kids:

Some of my kids are autistic and some are not, but I love lots about them all.  Jodie's piece is gorgeous.  Definitely worth a wonderful Wednesday share, if you have the time you can read it here.  You can also follow Jodie's blog Autism with Lots of Love and Affection

What is Autism?
It's so much I couldn't possibly try and explain. For us it's wonderful and heart-breaking. Joyous and truthful. But as far as diagnosis is concerned, why not have a look at the National Autistic Society for their definition of Autism.
