It's the last week of Easter Break and despite the weather trying to convince us otherwise, it's spring at last.  So what can we do to keep our kids busy at home for the last week of the Easter holidays?

I find buying things for my autistic kids quite challenging at the best of times. Family are always asking what they can get for gifts and it's hard Anthony often has limited interests and is shy about expressing an opinion (in case it's wrong) and David... well David's communication is very limited.   Jane likes everything.  Everyone has someone that's hard to buy for and this year is more challenging as we've got to think about COVID and keeping people safe.

My kids and I both enjoy gaming. We enjoy, relax and learn from it. If you’re a gamer and not heard of Fortnite, then you’re not a gamer. Fortnite is one of the largest games played in the world. My son and I both play. It’s a battle Royale Game that is player versus player. 100 gamers are  dropped onto an island and the last one surviving wins.  Like Hunger Games gone mad. But you already know this right?

Dear Fortnite,

Please bring back Playground Mode in the next update - it makes the game accessible for my autistic son.

Fortnite guilt

Anthony is a nearly ten year old boy with autism who has never told a lie, ever. The 'best' he's done is go silent when asked something he doesn't want to admit to. So, obviously, this doesn't mean he has never done anything wrong. And it doesn't mean that he's never felt guilty either.  The latest guilt came games.  Well just one really, a game of Fortnite.
