SEND & SpectrumSunday #66

SEND and SpectrumSunday linky badge

Welcome to our next SEND & Spectrum Sunday linky, where you can link-up and find blog posts about autism, mental health, education and anything related to SEND and SEND kids. Sensory play, autism, disabilities, mental health (parents or kids), education and any other related topics are all welcome!
Victoria from Starlight and Stories, Danielle from Someone's Mum and I run this fortnightly linky sharing hosting, sharing and commenting duties as works for us busy folks.   Thanks to the super Victoria for hosting the last linky.

My favourite post from the last linky was via It's a Tink thing.  We have difficulty with hair cutting but what this post shows is that it can be related to a lot of things, it may not even be a sensory thing at all.  Thanks to It's a Tink thing for sharing this post.

Linked up posts are shared with our nearly 30,000 twitter followers as Danielle, Victoria and I all tweet or retweet your posts. We love everyone in our community and appreciate your efforts to join in!

This linky I'm including our post on about David's reward system at school and about how Anthony has shown me about his conceptual thinking using Minecraft and Youtube.

Our linky is fortnightly and is for sharing your autism, SEND, additional needs and mental health posts or anything you think might be useful for our community.  Each week the host will comment on, pin and share your linked up posts.  We just ask you share a bit of love with other posts in return through commenting or sharing.  If you have any questions about a linky you can see my guide or contact me.

How the #spectrumsunday linky operates
  • Our linky runs from 8am every other Sunday for two weeks
  • You can add up to two posts or micro-blog posts each - old or new content is all fine by us.  If adding a micro-blog from facebook, make sure you add the link of the post by clicking on the time stamp to copy the link.
  • It would be great if you could choose one host post and one co-host post to comment on each week
  • Then comment on the post before yours and more if you fancy.  If you have any difficulty commenting, please let me or the linker know.  Feel free to share any you'd like to with your followers.
  • This subject can be incredibly emotive so kind and supportive messages only please.
  • It would be great if you tweet your linked posts with #spectrumsunday - we will retweet for you! Just tag us in the tweets @rainbowsaretoo, @2ndtimemama and @mumsomeone
  • If you add a Facebook microblog add the #spectrumsunday to your post and tag the host - this week that's me - Rainbows are too beautiful Facebook
  • For all other posts, please be kind and add our linky badge to the bottom of your post/s so people can find their way back to read other posts (just copy and paste the code below into your HTML - see this guide if you are unsure).
  • Spectrum Sunday

As always we are looking forward to reading your posts.

I read all your comments and appreciate you sharing your thoughts with me and our readers. I welcome any feedback on my posts and you can always contact me directly. Thank you.

What is Autism?
It's so much I couldn't possibly try and explain. For us it's wonderful and heart-breaking. Joyous and truthful. But as far as diagnosis is concerned, why not have a look at the National Autistic Society for their definition of Autism.
